Cedarville University students delve into drone research

A drone designed by high school students at the recent Destination Dayton competition. Dayton leaders are looking to bring the emerging drone industry here and a new partnership between Cedarville U. and a Pennsylvania company will help build interest in the region.

Students from Cedarville University are partnering with a Pennsylvania company on unmanned aerial systems research.

As part of their senior projects, geology and geoscience students are working with Wellsboro, Pa.-based Remote Intelligence LLC. The efforts include mapping standing water — as part of an effort for the remediation of storm water runoff — and monitoring lake depth.
