Electrical Safety First launches drone buying, charging and storage safety resource for UK drone pilots
Fire prevention and electrical safety charity Electrical Safety First has put together a guide for safely charging, storing and purchasing a drone.
This comes in the wake of numerous reports about dangerous counterfeit or fake drones, as well as fires and explosions started by faulty or poorly maintained lithium drone batteries and chargers.
The move forms part of a push to educate the British public and indeed manufacturers about the risks associated with drones and the appropriate mitigation response. This also ties in with an event series Electrical Safety First is running on the topic too.
Both new and experienced drone pilots can benefit from taking a minute to brush up on charging, storage and product registration best practice. They can read the guide here: http://www.electricalsafetyfirst.org.uk/guides-and-advice/electrical-items/drone-safety-advice/
