One of the drones filming outside the Grand Opera House, Belfast
BY GILLIAN ANDERSON
Early morning motorists found themselves delayed this morning in Belfast city centre
You could have been fooled for thinking it was a re-make of Battle of the Drones.
However, the mystery objects buzzing around the skies in Belfast city centre this morning were being used by the guys from Cine Media/Cine Copters who were working hard to capture some fantastic aerial images of Belfast’s iconic landmarks for the Discovery Channel.
When complete the programme will go to an audience of 20 million – good news indeed for our tourist industry.
With some road closures put in place in the city centre by the PSNI South Belfast, the flight of the drones caused plenty of amusement and amazement for the early morning locals and tourists.
