Drone wars: Local real estate agents take to the skies to showcase listings

Real estate agents tend to rely on traditional methods to sell homes, but at least two Bay State brokers are spreading their wings by using remote-control drones to better promote their listings.

Available for under $1,000, airborne drones are a new and increasingly cost-effective tool for residential brokers to provide aerial photos of properties up for sale. But as their popularity and numbers grow, so too does the real estate industry’s concerns over the legal and regulatory landscapes that determine their usage.
