Sinclair to ramp up UAS training

Two area community colleges have signed a deal to open a pipeline of students to unmanned aerial systems training in Dayton with the goal of flying drones over the farm fields of Ohio.

Sinclair Community College in downtown Dayton and Southern State Community College in Hillsboro will develop training and academic courses to educate students in the growing unmanned aerial vehicles industry with an eye toward meeting demand in agriculture, Ohio’s No. 1 economic industry.

Officials also say that agriculture is the biggest market sector for drones domestically.
