AgEagle takes to the skies

The AgEagle unmanned aerial vehicle has been designed for agricultural imaging.THE AgEagle aerial imaging system has been designed to create spectral imaging of any size paddock and identify which sections or plants are under stress from infestation, weeds and irrigation problems.

It is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) developed in the United States that’s built for the agricultural market.

Agent for AgEagle in Australia, Phil Lyons, said the machine had sufficient electrical power to cover 500 hectares in a single 45-minute flight.

“The on board camera takes hundreds of pictures in high resolution which converted to NDVI (normalised difference vegetation index) will clearly show the problem areas,” he said.
