Research lab proposes lifeguard drone to rescue stranded swimmers

RTS labs, a research lab in Virginia, has announced a prototype for a lifeguard drone to rescue stranded swimmers. The remote-controlled drone, known as Pars, would be able to drop off life vests in the water and use a heat scanner to find people in the dark. It would also be faster and more efficient, as it takes the average lifeguard 90 seconds to reach a stranded swimmer and it will take the drone 11 seconds, according to RTS labs.
